Rules and Guidelines for the Oscar Bangladesh Committee Formation:

1. The official selection committee for Academy Awards® (Oscars) from Bangladesh shall be named ‘Oscar Bangladesh Committee’.
2. Committee formation and operations will be overseen by the Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies (BFFS).
3. BFFS shall appoint committee members who are esteemed individuals within the film related organizations or with significant expertise, knowledge and/or contribution to film industry/research in Bangladesh. 
4. Members shall come from diverse sectors of the industry, including directing, editing, production, acting, cinematography, academics and more.
5. Some members may hold prominent positions in relevant industry guilds or associations, governmental bodies, academia or societal organizations. 
6. No member shall be eligible for reappointment in the Oscar Bangladesh Committee if he/she had been appointed for aggregate of six terms in any capacity.
7. Members shall have a dedication to watching a wide variety of films and a willingness to contribute constructively to the selection process.
8. Each member shall express willingness to serve voluntarily and contribute to the success of the committee.

Rules and Guidelines for the Oscar Bangladesh Committee Operation:

1. The committee shall be chaired by a ‘Chairperson’ selected by BFFS among Oscar Bangladesh Committee members.
2. The chairperson shall oversee all committee operations, including scheduling, communication, and financial matters if any or delegate some functions to the submission coordinator where deem necessary.
3. The committee shall meet annually to invite films submission following Academy Awards® (Oscars) rules through relevant medium, then screen and evaluate submitted films for Oscar consideration in select category.
4. Members shall engage in in-depth discussions, considering artistic merit, storytelling, technical excellence, and cultural significance during the selection process.
5. All members shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding discussions and film submissions.
6. The committee shall actively engage in promoting and supporting the Bangladesh film industry through media, press conferences, and collaborations when and if called upon.

Instructions on how to Submit a Film for Consideration:

1. To submit a film for Academy Awards (Oscar) consideration from Bangladesh, please contact the Oscar Bangladesh Committee. 
2. Before making a submission, please visit BFFS website or Academy Awards® website for submission rules and technical requirements (or Click Here). 
3. The Oscar Bangladesh Committee only invites submissions for the “International Feature Film Award” category. If you wish to submit your film for another category, please contact the Academy (Click Here).
4. If your film meets the submission rules and technical requirements prescribed by the Academy, please contact the Committee for the entry form.
5. The filled up entry form must be submitted before the Oscar Bangladesh Committee stipulated deadline and there may or may not be an entry fee depending on the Committee decision.
